Job summary

Ganymede Solutions Limited is seeking a Design Engineer to translate customer briefs into practical, production-ready fluid power and electrical solutions. You will produce accurate 3D CAD drawings, Bills of Materials, and support confident cost estimates while ensuring quality, HSE and legislation are met.

You will collaborate with application engineers, customers, sales, project managers and the workshop team to take projects from initial specification through production and final sign‑off,

Qualifications

Design Engineer - Fluid Power Solutions

Do you get a buzz from turning a complex brief into a solution that performs in the real world? We are searching for a talented Design Engineer to join the Technical team and create practical, production-ready fluid power and electrical solutions. Here, your ideas will not stay on the drawing board, you will help bring them to life.

Own the journey from first brief to final sign-off

This is a role with real variety and visible impact. You will partner with application engineers, customers, sales colleagues, project managers and the workshop team to take projects from initial specification through production and customer sign-off. Along the way, you will produce accurate 3D CAD drawings and Bills of Materials, support confident cost estimates, create clear technical documentation, and ensure each solution meets quality management processes, Health and Safety requirements and relevant legislation.

You will bring proven fluid power design expertise, experience creating and managing Bills of Materials, and the confidence to contribute to accurate cost estimates. Just as importantly, you will communicate clearly with customers and colleagues, stay organised when priorities compete, and take ownership from challenge to outcome. Strong technical-documentation skills, adaptability, and a sound understanding of Health and Safety and relevant quality standards are essential. Electrical design experience would give you an added advantage, you will see your thinking turn into dependable, real-world engineering.
