Job summary

Civil Engineering Recruitment is seeking a Design Engineer to join a leading specialist engineering business delivering temporary works solutions across major infrastructure and construction projects in the UK.

Responsibilities include producing customer design schemes and drawings, checking own and team designs, managing workload, and developing regional relationships. A Civil Engineering degree and at least 3 years’ construction experience are required, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or similar required.
• Minimum 3 years' construction experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office packages.

• Checking own designs and drawings in line with company quality procedures
• Checking other team members designs and drawings
• To produce one-off project work as directed by the Engineering Manager or Senior Engineers
• Self-management of allocated workload to meet customer / business demand
• Working within a region and developing relationships within that region
• Contribute to the smooth and effective operation of the design department
