What You Would Do
Typical responsibilities could include:
- Contributing to the design and development of mechanical, electrical or control systems
- Supporting the creation of design documentation, specifications and technical drawings
- Collaborating with engineering teams to refine designs and resolve technical challenges
- Ensuring designs meet relevant standards, regulations and quality requirements
- Participating in design reviews and providing technical input
- Supporting the transition of designs from concept through to manufacturing or implementation
What You Could Bring
Most roles of this type require the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Controls or related discipline)
- Demonstrated experience in product design or engineering design roles
- Proficiency with CAD software and design tools
- Working knowledge of relevant engineering standards and compliance requirements, such as ISO 9001
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work effectively within engineering teams and communicate technical concepts clearly
Nice-to-have experience could include:
- Experience with specific design methodologies or simulation tools
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes or design for manufacturability
- Experience in regulated industries or quality-driven environments
