Design Engineer

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Design Engineer to join the team of a highly successful company at the forefront of Aerospace innovation in a newly created role.

The Role

The Design Engineer will be responsible for supporting the design and testing of low-fidelity models and manufacturing processes across our client’s product portfolio. The role involves developing CAD/CAM models and drawings for parts and sub-assemblies, as well as designing, building, and characterizing jigs and fixtures required for testing the products. Additionally, the Design Engineer will create and write MAPs, review and approve engineering drawings, and identify problems in design and production, providing appropriate recommendations.

What do I need?

• Experience in production within a highly regulated industry, with Space/Aerospace experience preferred
• Experience using CAD software, ideally SolidWorks
• A strong understanding of engineering drawing principles and metrology
