We are looking for a Design Engineer

Salary - £40,000 to £50,000 DOE

Location: Chester CH1

Working Hours

8.30am to 5pm, Monday to Thursday

8.30am to 1.30pm, Friday

JDR is recruiting for a design engineer to work in a large manufacturing site in Chester

Duties

This is a varied role, so perfect for someone who likes each day to come with it's own challenges. Your core duties will be as follows:

  • Create and maintain detailed engineering drawings and technical documentation
  • Design mechanical components and develop complete assemblies using SolidWorks
  • Recording and assisting other departments in investigating product complaints
  • Diagnose and resolve design and production issues, implementing corrective actions as needed
  • Analyse current processes and identify opportunities for improvement using data-driven approaches

About You

As a design engineer you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BEng or equivalent minimum)
  • Proficient in SolidWorks or similar CAD design software
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal
  • Some experience within a manufacturing environment is preferable
  • Flexible and adaptable, with a proactive approach to change
