Job summary

A leading fluid power distributor in the UK is seeking a Design Engineer to design hydraulic systems and manage product specifications. The ideal candidate will have a Mechanical Engineering degree, experience in hydraulics, and strong communication skills. A competitive salary of £40,000 - £55,000 is offered along with additional benefits such as 25 days annual leave and pension contributions.

The Role of the Design Engineer

Designing Hydraulic Systems.



Overall budget responsibility for products.



Generate drawings using 3D CAD systems.



Liaising with customers on specifications and requirements.



Liaising with other departments within the company to move designs to production.



Creating technical documents and manuals for products.

The Ideal Person for the Design Engineer

Mechanical Engineering Degree or similar.



Ideally a background in Hydraulics but can consider pneumatic / machine builder backgrounds.



Experience with budgetary responsibility of projects.



Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
