Our mission is to empower women through radical, female-first innovation, breaking taboos and challenging stigma along the way.

Elvie recently joined forces with Willow, a fellow leader in FemTech and maternal health based in the U.S. This powerful combination brings together two iconic brands, combining a market-leading product portfolio with teams of world-class engineers, designers, and commercial experts. Together, we're set to shape the future of maternal health on a global scale.

As we embark on this exciting new transitional chapter, this role will play a pivotal part in helping to define and deliver our vision across international markets.

Did you know?

About the role:

As a Design Engineer your role sits within the Product delivery team, who are responsible for delivering Elvie’s game changing products to empower women. You will develop and iterate ideas and concepts, prototyping, building rigs, testing and analysing results to realise innovative product solutions. Working cross-functionally with stakeholders, e.g. Product Managers, Operations and Quality teams, you will ensure your product solutions meet the user needs and product requirements

  • You have experience of Electro-mechanical Product Development and working knowledge of the product development process.
  • You have a passion for solving problems and following a solid design process.
  • Mechanically inclined with an eye for elegant, usable products you are enthused by the idea of working in a company revolutionising product markets.
  • You have a knowledge of the importance of product definition during the design process.
  • You are practical and hands-on, you are comfortable building and modifying rigs in a workshop.
  • You are organised and logical and can form a clear path when faced with technical challenges..
  • Inject energy, enthusiasm and creativity into everything you touch
  • You’re unafraid to present your ideas and speak your mind
  • Failure doesn’t phase you, it’s just part of the design process

Location: Hybrid working; a mix of working from our Bristol office & working remotely

What you’ll be doing at Elvie:

  • Own the development of a system, technology and/or small assembly.
  • Define elegant but robust solutions to satisfy the product's functional requirements.
  • Apply sound engineering principles to technical problems.
  • Communicate ideas quickly and effectively using a combination of sketching, CAD layouts, 3D models and working prototypes to evaluate potential solutions.
  • Build and apply your knowledge of production technology, materials and finishes to challenge constraints and push boundaries of current designs.
  • Work with external technology providers to source appropriate solutions and to reduce our time to market.
