A leading manufacturing company in Brackley is seeking a CAD Designer to join their Design Engineering Team. You will focus on tooling for composite components using CATIA, producing technical drawings and collaborating with internal teams. Qualifications

  • Proficient in CATIA with knowledge of composite manufacturing.
  • Experience in component or tooling design.
  • Confident understanding of technical/laminate drawings.
  • Familiar with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Strong IT skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communicator with good time management and organisational skills.

The Opportunity


We're proud to be partnering with a leading manufacturing company based in Brackley, working across Automotive, Formula One, and Medical sectors. They're expanding their Design Engineering Team and are seeking a CAD Designer with experience in CATIA to help implement this as their core CAD platform.


This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking, high-precision environment where your work supports the design of tooling for composite components.



Key Responsibilities



  • Produce technical tooling drawings to ensure manufacturability and assembly

  • Model components to customer specifications using CATIA

  • Interpret and compare data models and 3D notes

  • Create and manage BOM (Bill of Materials)

  • Liaise with internal teams

  • Develop internal manuals and drawing standards

  • Provide design-related support to production and other areas.



About You
