CAD Designer

The Opportunity

We're proud to be partnering with a leading manufacturing company based in Brackley, working across Automotive, Formula One, and Medical sectors. They're expanding their Design Engineering Team and are seeking a CAD Designer with experience in CATIA to help implement this as their core CAD platform.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking, high-precision environment where your work supports the design of tooling for composite components.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce technical tooling drawings to ensure manufacturability and assembly
  • Model components to customer specifications using CATIA
  • Interpret and compare data models and 3D notes
  • Create and manage BOM (Bill of Materials)
  • Liaise with internal teams
  • Develop internal manuals and drawing standards
  • Provide design-related support to production and other areas.

About You

  • Proficient in CATIA with knowledge of composite manufacturing
  • Experience in component or tooling design
  • Confident understanding of technical/laminate drawings
  • Familiar with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
  • Strong IT skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong communicator with good time management and organisational skills
