JOB- Design Engineer (Point of Sale)

LOCATION- Basildon

TERM- Permanent

SALARY- £35,000 to £45,000 per annum (plus benefits)

Premier Engineering is currently working with a growing manufacturing company based in Basildon that specialises in the design and production of Point of Sale (POS) displays. They are looking to hire a Design Engineer to join their creative and fast-paced design team.

The Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

• Experience working in Point of Sale (POS) or Retail Display Design
• Strong skills in 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks or Inventor
• Good understanding of materials such as plastics, wood, metal, and acrylic
• Able to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
• Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
• A design-related qualification (HND, HNC, Degree, etc.)

The Design Engineer role will involve:

• Creating 3D and 2D CAD designs for POS displays
• Working closely with clients to understand and deliver project requirements
• Collaborating with production teams to ensure designs are feasible and cost-effective
• Producing technical drawings and specifications for manufacture
• Managing projects from concept through to production
