CAD Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed CAD models and drawings for propulsion system components, sub-assemblies, and full systems to BS8888 standards with appropriate GD&T
  • Support prototype development and testing of new designs
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to refine designs based on feedback
  • Ensure designs meet strict quality and performance requirements
  • Travel to manufacturing sites to liaise with production teams and resolve design issues
  • Create Manufacturing Statements of Work & Standards
  • Support technical reviews (PDRs, CDRs, MRRs) and customer meetings
  • Generate and resolve Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) related to tooling/fixturing

CAD Design Engineer

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering or related discipline
  • Proven CAD experience (preferably PTC Creo) with a strong portfolio
  • Understanding of manufacturing/machining processes
  • Ability to package complex components into compact systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Experience interpreting technical requirements and engineering drawings
  • Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet project deadlines
