Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Design Draughtsperson for a leading engineering manufacturer in Worksop. The role focuses on Tekla or Advance Steel design and producing detailed manufacturing drawings for material handling and steel structures.

You will survey sites across the UK, develop GA drawings, 3D layouts, and fabrication drawings, collaborating with the engineering team to deliver accurate, efficient designs.

Qualifications

• Experience with Tekla or Advance Steel.
• Background in design.

Responsibilities

• Develop bespoke design solutions for material handling and structural steelwork projects.
• Attend customer sites across the UK to carry out surveys and gather information for engineering designs.
• Produce General Arrangement drawings and detailed manufacturing/fabrication drawings.
• Design and detail conveyors, chutes, hoppers, silos, tanks, ductwork and material handling equipment.
• Produce drawings for primary and secondary structural steelwork, including staircases, platforms and access steelwork.
• Create 3D layouts and models of manufacturing plants and material handling systems.

Are you an experienced Draughtsperson, with a background in Tekla or Advance Steel, looking for an exciting opportunity within an established manufacturer that could train you on Tekla or Advance Steel software?

Do you have experience taking designs from initial site surveys and general arrangements through to detailed manufacturing drawings?

Established for over 30 years, this successful engineering business specialises in the design, manufacture and installation of bespoke material handling and structural steel solutions for a wide range of industrial applications.

Working across projects involving conveyors, chutes, hoppers, silos, ductwork and structural steelwork, the company has built a strong reputation for delivering practical, high-quality engineering solutions tailored to its customers' requirements.

The Role
