Central Technical Services – Design Draughtsperson (m/f/d)

Ardagh Glass Packaging – Knottingley (UK)

Job Description

The jobholder is responsible for producing accurate surveys and design drawings of plant and equipment within our Ardagh Glass Packaging Europe (AGP-E) division.


Responsibilities
  • Produce accurate design drawings using CAD (Computer Aided Design) software as requested by the senior designer and/or Project Engineer.
  • Carry out on-site surveys and 3D scans at any of the Ardagh Group glass manufacturing facilities.
  • Provide project support to project engineers across the facilities.
  • Identify and suggest improvements to designs to achieve the most suitable solutions for the objectives.
  • Prepare supporting documents for design drawings using software such as Word and Excel.
  • Maintain effective communication with colleagues to ensure team cohesion.

Requirements
  • Experience with CAD (Computer Aided Design) software.
  • Good understanding of the glass manufacturing process and ergonomics.
  • Proficiency in Office 365 (Word, Excel).
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Ability to operate survey equipment such as laser levelers, 3D scanners, and measuring devices (training provided if needed).
