Design Director – Workplace Interiors

Central London

£90K - £120K plus commission structure (Comms approx £20K)

Our client is seeking a talented Design Director—a visionary who redefines workplace design with innovation and creativity.

This is a unique opportunity to take on a leadership role within one of London's most renowned workplace design & build firms. You will lead a team of designers, foster innovation, and influence the future of office environments across the UK.

What you’ll be doing:

  1. Providing creative leadership across all workplace design projects, from initial concept to completion.
  2. Collaborating with clients, project directors, and commercial teams to turn visions into innovative, practical designs.
  3. Mentoring and managing a team of mid-senior designers, encouraging creativity and excellence.
  4. Owning the design strategy and storytelling in pitches, emphasizing innovation, functionality, and impact.
  5. Staying informed on trends in workplace culture, sustainability, and experiential design.

Our client is looking for someone who:

  1. Has 7+ years of experience in office/workplace interior design.
  2. Has led creative teams and can inspire their best work.
  3. Combines strategic thinking with exceptional design skills.
  4. Is confident in client presentations and securing projects.
  5. Understands the D&B model and thrives in a fast-paced, commercially driven environment.
