Design Delivery Lead - Data Centre (London Office)

Job summary

CTS Group is seeking an experienced Design Manager (Office) to lead end-to-end design delivery for data centre projects from our London office. You will coordinate across Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Structural, Architectural disciplines and liaise with clients and delivery teams.

The role requires strong BIM/digital coordination skills, knowledge of UK regulations, and a proactive approach to design optimisation, risk management, and value engineering.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred; other technical disciplines acceptable.
• 7+ years' experience in multidisciplinary design delivery for data centres or similar complex facilities.
• Strong knowledge of BIM/digital coordination and common data environments.
• Understanding of UK Building Regulations, CDM and safety standards; able to coordinate across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the project design programme across disciplines; ensure alignment with procurement and construction.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design activities (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Structural, Architectural).
• Manage design consultants and partners with clear scope, deliverables and quality.
• Maintain design deliverables register and information release schedule.
• Coordinate BIM and digital design for clash-free, constructible packages.
• Drive design reviews focusing on compliance, constructability and programme requirements.
• Support permitting and engagement with local authorities and build control bodies.
