Job summary

Starlyne Recruitment in Wolverhampton seeks an experienced Design Manager for a main contractor operating in Education, Healthcare, and Residential sectors. You will lead design management across preconstruction, construction and handover, coordinating stakeholders and ensuring design information aligns with project schedules and Building Regulations.

This full-time hybrid role offers a salary between £60k and £70k, depending on experience, with DfE/healthcare project exposure preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in design management for a main contractor.
• DfE and/or healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage design on multiple projects throughout Pre-Construction, Construction, and Handover phases.
• Prepare designers' appointments along with the design responsibilities matrix and schedule of services for each design consultant.
• Chair Design Coordination meetings with the Design Team.
• Manage the flow of information between all key stakeholders, including consultants, subcontractors, site teams, and clients.
• Produce the Design Release Schedule in coordination with the project programme and procurement schedule.
