Job summary
AmcoGiffen seeks an experienced Design Coordinator/Manager to lead design activities for rail and civil projects. You will oversee design progress, manage changes, and coordinate with stakeholders across multiple teams on complex, multi-disciplinary works.

Qualifications
- Degree in rail or civil engineering.
- Chartered Engineer status or nearing Chartered.
- Experience as Design Coordinator in rail contracting.
- Understanding of design delivery processes and management of design consultants.
- Commercial awareness of design contracts.
- Familiarity with CDM regulations.
Responsibilities
- Design Oversight: monitor design progress against schedule and budget.
- Change Management: review and approve or disapprove design change orders.
- Liaison and Reporting: provide progress reports to multiple teams.
- Subcontract Administration: manage design subcontract and invoices.
- Design Submission Coordination: ensure timely submission of design documents.
- Risk Identification: document changes and orders.
- Constructability Reviews: support value engineering and contractor preferences.
- Continuous Improvement: promote best practices in design coordination.
- Project Close-Out Support: assist in handback and close-out.
