Job summary

John Charles Search is recruiting an Automation Design Engineer for an established international business specialising in warehouse automation and intralogistics solutions in Birmingham. The role involves developing automation solutions, analysing requirements and designing material handling systems from concept to detailed design.

You should have an engineering degree and 2–3 years in a similar role, with AutoCAD, Python or R, and strong statistics knowledge.

Qualifications

• Degree or background in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
• 2–3 years’ experience in a similar engineering/design role.
• Strong knowledge of automation, material handling processes and technologies.
• Advanced AutoCAD skills.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Experience using probability and statistics tools, such as Python or R.
• Advanced knowledge of statistics.
• Experience with rendering and animation applications.
• Knowledge of industrial process simulation.
