We’re looking for a Design & Verification Engineer to join the Mechanical Design Team at Snap Inc!

What you’ll do:
  • Work directly with engineers, suppliers, and CM’s to ensure components and sub-assemblies are designed & manufactured to specification.
  • Design components, assemblies, jigs, and fixtures related to optical engines used in AR glasses.
  • Manage relationships between design teams, suppliers, and CM’s to ensure capabilities meet technical specifications, including international travel to suppliers & CM’s in Europe and Asia.
  • Collaborate with other Spectacles teams to gather information, share knowledge, and improve requirements and specifications, providing feedback from suppliers and CM’s.
  • Coordinate between Mechanical Design, Global Supply Chain, and Quality to ensure parts are manufactured, measured, and delivered to specifications.
  • Work with suppliers and CM’s to assess and improve Measurement SOPs, Manufacturing SOPs, and engineering competencies.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • CAD experience, ideally SolidWorks or NX, in consumer electronics or opto-mechanical products.
  • Expertise in Metrology, CMMs, process improvement, and measurement systems.
  • Proficiency in ASME & ISO drawings, GD&T, FAI & SPC.
  • Understanding of manufacturing methods like injection molding, machining, including optical components.
  • Experience in data analysis and presentation.
  • Strong mechanical engineering background.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Degree in engineering or scientific field.
  • At least 5 years of Mechanical Design experience in relevant industry.
  • Experience in dimensional Metrology, Six Sigma, or process improvement.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Recognition in Metrology Certification or CMM Programming.
