Design and Technology Teacher with Specialism in Food Technology

Location: Rohondda Cynon Taff
Position: Full-Time Design and Technology Teacher (Specialism in Food Technology)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Start Date: Immediate until July 2025 in the first instance.

Supply Desk are working with a thriving school in the Rhondda, seeking a full-time Design and Technology Teacher with a specialism in Food Technology. The successful candidate will be available from after Easter (or earlier) on a long-term basis until at least July, with full teaching responsibilities included. Both ECTs and experienced teachers are encouraged to apply!

Responsibilities:
  1. Engaging Teaching: Deliver high-quality lessons in Design and Technology, specialising in Food Technology, to Key Stages 3 and 4.
  2. Passion for Education: Demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching and a commitment to fostering a stimulating learning environment.
  3. Collaboration: Work effectively as part of a dedicated and supportive department.
  4. Curriculum Development: Plan and implement engaging lessons that inspire students and support their academic progress.
Qualifications/Experience:
  1. Open to All Levels: Applications from ECTs and experienced teachers are welcomed.
  2. Specialism: Expertise in Food Technology is desirable.
  3. Curriculum Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Design and Technology curriculum for KS3 and KS4, with a focus on Food Technology.
  4. Classroom Management: Ability to foster a positive and structured learning environment.
Compensation:

Salary is dependent on experience and current pay scale.
