Job description

An enthusiastic Design and Technology Teacher is required to join a wellregarded Independent school in Barnet for a permanent position commencing in September. The successful candidate will inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (aged 1116) fostering their creativity problemsolving and practical skills through design and technology projects.

Responsibilities

  • Plan prepare and deliver engaging Design and Technology Teacher lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Develop students skills in designing making and evaluating products using a range of materials and technologies.
  • Foster a supportive and creative learning environment that encourages experimentation and innovation.
  • Assess and monitor student progress in Design and Technology providing constructive feedback to support their development as designers and makers.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Design and Technology or a closely related subject.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching Design and Technology Teacher lessons at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • A strong understanding of design principles manufacturing processes and relevant technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills capable of building positive relationships with students and colleagues.
