Job description

Job Title: Temporary Design & Technology (DT) Teacher

Location: Bolton, Greater Manchester

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: £150 - £220 per day

We are currently seeking a passionate and skilled Design & Technology Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Bolton on a temporary, full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to deliver engaging DT lessons in a supportive and well-equipped department.

The successful candidate will be confident teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 DT, with a focus on practical, hands-on learning across areas such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, or Graphics (depending on expertise).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver inspiring DT lessons in line with the national curriculum

  • Promote creativity, innovation, and technical skills in the classroom

  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback

  • Support departmental initiatives and contribute to the wider school community

The Ideal Candidate Will:
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification

  • Have experience teaching Design & Technology at secondary level

  • Be confident in classroom and behaviour management

  • Be adaptable, enthusiastic, and committed to student success

  • Be available to start immediately or very soon
