Design and Technology Teacher
Location: Tunbridge Wells
Salary: £120 - £250 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Long-term, Full-time

Are you a passionate Design and Technology Teacher looking to ignite creativity and innovation in students?

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Design and Technology Teacher to join a well-respected secondary school in Tunbridge Wells. This is an excellent opportunity for a DT Teacher to inspire the next generation of designers, engineers, and problem-solvers in a supportive and forward-thinking educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and deliver engaging and practical Design and Technology lessons across various specialisms such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, or Engineering.
  2. Encourage students to develop their creativity, problem-solving skills, and technical knowledge through hands-on projects.
  3. Use modern resources and equipment to provide a stimulating and dynamic learning experience.
  4. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
  5. Work collaboratively with colleagues to enrich the DT curriculum and contribute to extracurricular activities.

The Ideal Candidate Will:
  1. Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  2. Have experience teaching Design and Technology at a secondary level, with expertise in one or more DT specialisms.
  3. Be passionate about fostering creativity and innovation in students.
  4. Possess excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  5. Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in technology.
