Job description

Justteachers is seeking a passionate and skilled Design and Technology Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in the Northampton area. This is a full-time, long-term position, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Plan and deliver engaging Design and Technology lessons to KS3 and KS4 students, covering specialisms such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, or Engineering.
  2. Take on full classroom responsibilities, including lesson planning, assessment, marking, and behaviour management.
  3. Foster creativity, problem-solving, and practical skills through hands-on learning and project-based work.
  4. Support and inspire students of all abilities.
  5. Prepare students for GCSE coursework and exams, monitoring progress through assessments.
To Be Considered For This Role, Candidates Must Have
  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  2. Proven experience teaching Design and Technology at KS3 and KS4.
  3. Strong knowledge of the UK DT curriculum and experience in using relevant tools and equipment.
  4. Two recent, education-based references.
