Overview

We are seeking a creative and adaptable Design and Technology Teacher to join a specialist SEN school in Andover, supporting students with ASD, ADHD, and complex learning needs. This is a full-time role, starting immediately, ideal for someone passionate about inclusive education and hands-on learning.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging Design and Technology lessons tailored to the needs of students with a range of special educational needs
  • Adapt curriculum content to suit individual learning styles and EHCP targets
  • Create a safe and stimulating workshop/classroom environment that supports creativity and independence
  • Work collaboratively with support staff and therapists to ensure holistic learning experiences
  • Promote practical skills, problem-solving, and confidence through project-based learning
  • Contribute to the wider school community and enrichment activities
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching Design and Technology, ideally within an SEN or inclusive setting
  • Understanding of autism, ADHD, and complex needs, with a flexible and empathetic approach
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
