Location: Medway, Kent
Salary: £120 - £250 per day (Depending on experience)
Commencement: September 2025 – Christmas 2025
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

Role Overview:
As a DT Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering engaging and practical lessons that encourage students to think critically and creatively. You will work alongside a supportive team of educators to foster a love for design and innovation in a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities of Design and Technology (DT) Teacher:

• Plan and deliver high-quality DT lessons that cater to a range of abilities and learning styles.
• Teach students, covering areas such as product design, resistant materials, and engineering principles.
• Encourage students to develop practical skills through hands-on projects and real-world problem-solving.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and adapting teaching strategies as needed.
• Promote a safe working environment, ensuring students understand and follow health and safety procedures.
• Support extracurricular activities and enrichment opportunities related to design and technology.

Essential Qualifications for Design and Technology (DT) Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Early Career Teacher (ECT), or equivalent certification.
• Overseas qualifications are welcome.
• Experienced Teaching Assistants (TA) and Cover Supervisors (CS) with relevant DT experience are also encouraged to apply.
• A ten-year career history with references covering the last two years, including your most recent academic employment.
• Experience in teaching DT is essential.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
• A commitment to fostering creativity, innovation, and a love for learning.
