Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a proactive Design / Knitwear Graduate looking to start their career in the industry. We are recruiting for a Design Admin Assistant to support a well-established client within the knitwear design team on a 12-month FTC.

This role is office-based and requires you to be highly organized, efficient, and eager, with a positive attitude. The role is admin-heavy, supporting the team in sample management, research trims, yarn packs, and photographs, with potential for simple knitwear design work as you gain experience.

Based in central London offices, this is a great opportunity to start in the fashion industry and develop into a successful designer.

Main responsibilities include:

• Regular comparative shop reports, trend research, mood boards, and inspiration sourcing across knitwear
• Researching key trends and colors, assisting in creating color palettes and trend books
• Photographing, recording, and organizing new bought shopping, samples, and meeting rack-ups
• Ordering trims and following through to delivery
• Creating detailed, clear CADs and tech packs to send to overseas factories
• Tracking all samples
• Preparing showrooms for customer meetings

Person Specification:

• Design degree specializing in knitwear
• Placement or industry experience is advantageous
• Must be eager, organized, proactive, and possess a can-do attitude
• Confident communicator at all levels
• Computer literate
• Basic understanding of yarns and gauges
• Friendly, positive team player eager to progress in the fashion industry
