Job summary

Red Sky Personnel Ltd is recruiting an experienced Design Manager for a Tier 1 contractor delivering a long-term infrastructure programme in Cumbria. The role focuses on managing external design consultancies and coordinating design with engineering, construction and commercial teams across road, rail, bridge and civil infrastructure.

You will lead multi-disciplinary interfaces, monitor progress to schedule, and drive design reviews and changes while maintaining quality and cost awareness

Qualifications

• Design Manager or Senior Design Manager experience
• Construction experience is essential
• Experience managing external design consultancies
• Experience taking projects through the full lifecycle from design through to construction and completion
• Understanding of the interface between design and construction
• Commercial awareness
• Major civil engineering or infrastructure experience
• Tier 1 contractor experience would be advantageous
• Design consultancy background with construction/delivery experience considered

Design Manager: Major Infrastructure Programme

We are recruiting an experienced Design Manager for a Tier 1 contractor delivering a long-term infrastructure programme in Cumbria. Working within a design and build environment, the Design Manager will be responsible for managing external design consultancies and coordinating design with the engineering, construction and commercial teams. The programme includes the upgrade and renewal of existing road, rail, bridge and associated civil infrastructure.
