A leading NHS trust in the UK is seeking a Dermatology Teaching Fellow to support medical education and service delivery. Responsibilities include teaching clinics, assessing medical students, and participating in clinical governance. Candidates should have an MBBS, MRCP, and relevant NHS experience. The role is a fixed-term appointment for 12 months until August 2026, with a focus on both teaching and practical dermatology experience.
Dermatology Teaching Fellow role at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust. The closing date is 06 October 2025. The UHDB Dermatology department, based at Florence Nightingale Community Hospital and the Royal Derby Hospital, is a busy department with 8 Dermatology Consultants, 2 Associate Specialists, and a team of Specialist Registrars, GP Hospital Practitioners / Specialty Doctors and Specialist dermatology nurses. This post is 50% Teaching Fellow appointment for a fixed-term period of 12 months, from until August 2026. Based at Florence Nightingale Hospital and the Royal Derby Hospital, the appointee will undertake duties for the Directorate of Medical Education and Workforce. MRCP and NHS experience is essential for this role.

We see on average 4810 OP appointments per day. We are the 4th busiest Trauma & Orthopaedic outpatients department in England with about 2077 per week. An average of 1115 patients are seen in A&Es across our network every day (3rd largest in the country). Our hospitals admit an average of 195 emergency patients daily. Last year we undertook almost 33,700 planned surgical operations in our 57 operating theatres. We are one of only 7 Trusts nationally with more than 50 operating theatres. We carry out more than 140 elective procedures each working day.
