Overview
We have an exciting opportunity in Dermatology to become part of the waiting list co-ordinator team based at the Friends Dermatology Centre and the Kent and Canterbury hospital. This post is for a Reception Supervisor responsible for covering the reception, overseeing day-to-day operations, managing outcome forms, and supervising a small team.
The Friends Dermatology Centre is located at the Kent and Canterbury hospital within the 1937 building. The department has access to procedure rooms and a wide range of clinicians undertaking surgical lists. This is an opportunity to join a flexible, dynamic and close-knit team.
Responsibilities
- Supervise a small team.
- Be responsible for outcome reports/PTL to adhere to deadlines.
- Prepare 2ww clinics.
- Handle patient queries and voicemails; greet patients and provide excellent patient service.
- Provide an efficient and streamlined administrative service to East Kent Hospitals NHS Trust patients.
- Maintain a high standard of customer service when dealing with patients, relatives and staff face to face and over the telephone.
- Prepare notes for 2ww clinics and complete outcomes; manage outcome appointments.
- Check in patients and rebook appointments; manage clinic notes for the day.
- Handle telephone calls professionally and in a timely manner.
- Coordinate wound check organization and arrange transport as required.

Qualifications and Requirements
- Ability to provide an efficient administrative service to patients.
- Excellent spoken English is essential for all customer-facing roles.
- Experience in reception or administrative roles within a clinical environment is desirable.
- Evidence of strong customer service and communication skills, both face to face and over the telephone.
- Disclosure and Barring checks may be required; some posts require enhanced checks for working with children or vulnerable adults.
- Applicants for eligible roles requiring Tier 2 sponsorship must meet UK Visas and Immigration eligibility criteria.
