Overview

Are you an experienced and enthusiastic Nurse with significant knowledge and skills in Dermatology, and looking for a new challenge to lead our Dermatology Department at UHD?

We are seeking applications for a Band 8a Dermatology Lead Nurse who is a qualified ACP (this is not a trainee post) on a permanent contract.

This role requires an active Professional registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).

Base Location: Cross site working between Poole Hospital and Christchurch Hospital

Interview Date: TBC

This post offers the opportunity to deliver operational management to a multi-disciplinary team, service development, and clinical leadership whilst maintaining a clinical role.

This is an exciting time within the Dermatology Department, with opportunities for service development as part of UHD Transformation.

Responsibilities
  • Cross site work between Poole Hospital and Christchurch Hospital.
  • Be the operational line manager for members of the Dermatology Teams team.
  • Drive service improvement, innovation and staff skill and knowledge acquisition for the benefit of patients within the pathway.
  • Seek opportunities to continuously develop the service to always ensure the delivery of safe, patient-centred care.
