Dermatology Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP)

Role Overview: You will become a key member of our dermatology service, providing support, clinical expertise, and treatment to patients with various dermatological conditions. We receive complex referrals from across the South West and beyond, offering exposure to challenging clinical scenarios. You will join a multidisciplinary team working across east and north Devon, collaborating in inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settings.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development and daily operations of the dermatology service across the trust.
  • Support and participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings.
  • Conduct telephone and face-to-face clinics, supporting patients throughout their dermatology journey.
  • Provide clinical expertise, interventions, undertake procedures, prescribe medications, order diagnostics, manage discharges, and contribute to teaching.
  • Structured support is provided for trainee ACPs to achieve competency across clinical care, leadership, education, and research.

Research & Academic Opportunities: We encourage engagement in research, service development, and quality improvement, with opportunities for academic publications, data collection, and collaborative projects. You will benefit from 20% protected time for non-clinical development aligned with our Trust's ACP framework.

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, with some weekend work possible.
