Job overview

The post holder will be required to transport patients, carers, and equipment to and from the Hospice in a professional, caring, comfortable, and timely manner, using our wheelchair adapted vehicle or an appropriate fleet vehicle.

Main duties of the job:

  • Transport patients, carers, and equipment to and from the Hospice.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, carers, relatives, and healthcare colleagues to provide quality service.
  • Use the database to record all journeys accurately and promptly.
  • Perform regular vehicle checks to ensure safe operation and maintenance of hospice fleet vehicles.
  • Hold a full driving license with no more than penalty points at the time of application.
