Job description

This is a very exciting opportunity for a Deputy Ward Manager to join the team on this busy 23-bedded Elective Joint Replacement Unit and Orthopaedic ward.

We are looking for a dynamic, highly motivated, and enthusiastic person to join our multidisciplinary team, providing high-quality nursing care within this busy ward.

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, team working skills, and a dedication to improving the patients' experience.

You will need to demonstrate continuing professional development and a strong commitment to developing others, working closely within a multidisciplinary team.

Applicants must be able to evidence or demonstrate experience of working as a Band 5 or previous experience as a Band 6 within Trauma and Orthopaedics, with complex wound management or wound clinic experience.

You will be required to demonstrate significant Band 5 experience/leadership experience. We are looking for individuals with leadership potential, effective communication skills, and the ability to demonstrate a proactive, collaborative, and innovative approach to the clinical environment, passionate about excellence in patient care.

We are seeking an individual with experience in the safe management of complex discharges and the ability to autonomously manage a post-surgical wound management clinic, involving clinical assessment of post-surgical wounds.
