Job summary

Priory Hospital Dewsbury is recruiting a Deputy Ward Manager to join Jubilee Ward. This full-time role supports leadership, clinical governance, and a safe, therapeutic environment for male patients with mental health needs.

The Deputy Ward Manager will work with the Ward Manager and MDT to drive care standards, staff development, and patient experience, contributing to a positive recovery journey.

Qualifications

• Active Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Council and RMN qualification.
• Trained Assessor/Supervisor with clinical supervision experience.
• Evidence of Continued Professional Development and leadership intent.
• Good computer skills for administrative and clinical tasks.

Responsibilities

Full-time | 37.5 hours per week | Site based

£40,040 / year

Active Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Council, meeting the requirements of Revalidation (RMN qualified)This role is not suitable for newly qualified nurses or preceptorship nurses.Priory Hospital Dewsbury is looking to recruit a Deputy Ward Manager to join the team on the Jubilee Ward. This is a full time position of 40 hours per week.

Based in the residential area of Earlsheaton, West Yorkshire, Priory Hospital Dewsbury provides level 2 rehabilitation services divided into two wards. Care is for male patients who have mental health disorders and we also offer neuropsychiatry support, support for older people and dementia, community-focused rehabilitation, and support for severe and enduring mental health.

Although Dewsbury is not a 24/7 acute hospital, we are well-placed to provide support to acute patients within our dementia services, for those who require an alternative setting to an acute psychiatric ward. Admissions can also take place due to other placement breakdowns (either from their home or other care environment), or from prison settings.
