Job summary

Priory Hospital Dewsbury is seeking a Deputy Ward Manager to join the Jubilee Ward on a full-time basis. The role is site based in Earlsheaton, West Yorkshire, offering 40 hours per week and a salary of £40,040 per year.

Active RMN registration and revalidation are required. You will work with the Ward Manager and multidisciplinary team to uphold high clinical standards, support patient care pathways, and lead a skilled nursing team.

Qualifications

• Active RMN registration with NMC and revalidation requirements.
• Not suitable for newly qualified or preceptorship nurses.
• Experience in leadership and ward management preferred.

Responsibilities

Priory Hospital Dewsbury is looking to recruit a Deputy Ward Manager to join the team on the Jubilee Ward. This is a full time position of 40 hours per week.

Based in the residential area of Earlsheaton, West Yorkshire, Priory Hospital Dewsbury provides level 2 rehabilitation services divided into two wards. Care is for male patients who have mental health disorders and we also offer neuropsychiatry support, support for older people and dementia, community-focused rehabilitation, and support for severe and enduring mental health.

Although Dewsbury is not a 24/7 acute hospital, we are well-placed to provide support to acute patients within our dementia services, for those who require an alternative setting to an acute psychiatric ward. Admissions can also take place due to other placement breakdowns (either from their home or other care environment), or from prison settings.What you’ll be doing

Working alongside the Ward Manager and multidisciplinary team, you will help drive high standards of clinical care, promote a positive patient experience, and support the development of a motivated and skilled workforce.

• Trained Assessor/Supervisor
• Clinical Supervision experience essential, training desirable
