Job summary

A leading health service provider in North Wales is seeking a committed Band 6 Nurse for Dulas Ward at Ysbyty Gwynedd. The role involves working in a proactive team specializing in ENT surgery and medical outliers, providing opportunities for professional development. Candidates with RGN qualifications and experience in surgical settings are preferred. A desire to support others and an understanding of governance issues are essential. Knowledge of Welsh is desirable.

Qualifications

  • RGN with experience in a surgical setting.
  • Has good clinical knowledge of acute setting.
  • Extended skills such as phlebotomy and cannulation are desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Keep abreast with new initiatives and interventions within nursing care.
  • Drive mandatory training and other relevant courses.
  • Support and coordinate induction for new staff.

An opportunity has arisen for a motivated and committed band 6 nurse to join Dulas Ward at Ysbyty Gwynedd.

The nursing team is proactive and innovative with a wealth of knowledge in their field. Dulas ward is a mix of ENT surgery plus medical outliers. (Cardiology, Respiratory and Endocrine). They are also a very friendly and supportive team who demonstrate fantastic team work.

Main duties of the job

All applicants are expected to keep abreast with new initiatives and interventions within nursing care. A deputy is expected to drive mandatory training and other courses which are relevant to the ward.

Staff will receive induction and support through staff meeting and personal development reviews.

In general, this is an exciting and fascinating ward opportunity for professional development and expertise in the field.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
