Job description

Are you looking for a new challenge? are you an experienced dermatology nurse? Then you may be just what we are looking for!! We are on a journey to be #Brilliant, here at the Royal Cornwall Hospital and we are looking to employ a suitable individual, who can not only support the management, leadership and development of the nursing team, but also be an excellent role-model and champion for high quality patient centred care, in our very busy out-patient department.

Main duties of the job

The role requires you to be flexible, resilient, forward thinking and a positive motivator. You will deputise and support the Department sister to lead a team of Registered and unregistered nurses, ensuring team and individual learning and development. You will work alongside team members who are all striving to provide the safest and best quality care in an out-patient setting.

You will be supported by the department sister and will be actively encouraged in your continuing professional development through the use of a care group specific Personal Development Plan and completion of the RCHT manager's / leader's passport.

Previous dermatology experience and some evidenced experience of leading / managing a team is desirable. Flexibility is essential to ensure senior cover of this busy environment.
