A leading healthcare organization seeks a Deputy Training Programme Director for General Surgery to enhance educational outcomes and supervise trainees. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, with responsibilities across various health and social care sectors. The post will be available on a secondment basis to NHS England, with TPD sessional payments (£10,000 per annum, per PA session / 4 hours per week).
All work undertaken is to be incorporated into the Consultant Job Plan. The Deputy Training Programme Director will support the Head of School in leading a range of functions aligned with the NHS England mandate.
The role is professionally and managerially accountable to the Head of School. It focuses on improving learner supervision, assessment, engagement of faculty, and ensuring effective educational outcomes. The role will evolve to include whole workforce transformation, multi-professional links, innovative curriculum delivery, and workforce well-being strategies.
