We are looking for a full time Deputy Practice Manager to join our team.
You will work alongside the Practice Manager, learning from her and also carrying out your own work.
In time and with training, your role will be to deputise for the current Manager in her absence. Full training will be given.
You will need to be a great communicator, have a proven track record of managing peopel in the workplace, able to deal with difficult situations and be a firm negotiator. You will need to be self motivated, disciplined and able to work independently as well as part of the team. A strong work ethic along with a love of people will be vital for this role.
Main duties of the job
To work alongside the PM and learn her role so that you can fully cover in her absence. This will involve a wide range of responsibility including dealing with HR issues on a daily basis, covering for other team members should the need arise (once trained to do so) dealing with maintenance issues alongside our admin team maintenance lead, ensuring the buildings run smoothly and firefighting all manner of problems as they arise.
You will be expected to be able to cover the roles of others, both in the admin and reception teams so this is an opportunity to learn many roles within the team over time.
You will also have your own designated roles to carry out. These will include payroll and finance admin cover, planning of rotas for clinical team and arranging cover, producing reports and copies of records for patients. This list will be tailored to the candidates strengths.
About Us
Cantilupe Surgery is a busy city Centre practice, covering 12660 patients in central Hereford city.
We have a large reception and admin team, supported by the Practice Manager and her team, as well as Practice Nurses, Health Care Assistants and Nurse Practitioners.
Three Partners and 5 Salaried GPs make up our GP team as well as a GP Registrar and Nurse Lead for the Practice.
