Deputy Team Manager - South Oxfordshire AMHT

Are you a qualified RMN or Occupational Therapist with experience in mental health looking for a new challenge?

An opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and dynamic Deputy Team Manager to join the South Oxfordshire Adult Mental Health Team (AMHT) within the Didcot locality.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified and ambitious individual with experience in mental health to take a step up and a progressive move in their career. You will be given the opportunity to further develop your managerial skills whilst continuing to undertake varied and more complex clinical work, with a good split between management and clinical work.

This is a key leadership role within a well-established, multidisciplinary team that consists of both highly experienced and newly qualified professionals, all committed to delivering high-quality care to individuals experiencing mental health challenges in our local community.

Main duties of the job

As Deputy Team Manager, you will provide clinical oversight and leadership to the team, working closely with the Consultant Psychiatrist (Clinical Lead) and Team Manager (Operational Lead).

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing day-to-day management and clinical supervision to staff.
  • Supporting the ongoing development and performance management of the team.
  • Undertaking clinical duties, including conducting assessments and managing a small caseload.
  • Acting as Duty Manager on occasion (full shadowing support will be provided for those new to this responsibility).
  • Deputising for the Team Manager as required.
