The post holder will deputise in the Team Leader's absence, ensuring the provision of cost-effective, efficient, high-quality patient care within their nursing team. They are responsible for overseeing the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care needs, as well as quality assurance within the team.
The Deputy District/Community Nurse Team Leader will lead a nursing team within an identifiable geographical area, supporting professional and clinical development, promoting evidence-based practice, and acting as an accountable role model. They will ensure team members adhere to the NMC Professional Code of Conduct and relevant policies.
Knowledge of Welsh is desirable; applications from Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome.
The Caldicot District Nursing Team is part of the Monmouthshire Borough, one of five district nursing teams, with an integrated frailty/rapid medical service embedded within all teams.
