Role:

Set and maintain all folding equipment, assist the Shift Supervisor, and supervise operators to ensure productivity, efficiency, and quality.

Primary Duties:

  • Set and operate machines to maximize shift output.
  • Manage all folding machines and formats of leaflets.
  • Demonstrate effective people and shift management.
  • Maintain quality standards and achieve department quality targets.
  • Act as a machine champion.
  • Understand SFDC, Job Bag / MBR, and PSA, including live plans and resources.
  • Serve as the second point of contact for machine issues during shifts, troubleshooting as needed.
  • Deputize for the Finishing Supervisor during planned or unplanned absences.

Skills, knowledge, and qualifications required:

  • Minimum GCSEs in Mathematics and English Language or equivalent.
  • 2-3 years of experience in setting machines.
  • Proficient in PC use.
  • At least 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong people management and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of SHE and employment legislation.
  • Understanding of cGMP, 5S, and SMED methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
