Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Deputy Store Manager to join our team in Hartlepool, United Kingdom. As a key member of our management team, you will play a crucial role in driving store performance, leading staff, and ensuring exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations and achieving sales targets
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team of sales associates
  • Ensure excellent customer service standards are maintained throughout the store
  • Manage inventory levels, stock replenishment, and visual merchandising
  • Analyse sales data and implement strategies to improve store performance
  • Handle cash management and financial procedures accurately
  • Resolve customer complaints and address staff concerns promptly
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe store environment
  • Implement and enforce company policies and procedures
  • Cover for the Store Manager in their absence, taking full responsibility for the store

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience of 2-3 years in retail management, preferably as an assistant manager or supervisor
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members
  • Excellent customer service skills and a passion for delivering exceptional shopping experiences
  • Proficiency in inventory management and visual merchandising techniques
  • Solid understanding of sales analysis and profit-driving strategies
  • Experience in cash handling and financial procedures
  • Demonstrated ability in conflict resolution and problem-solving
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Knowledge of retail industry trends and best practices
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a retail environment
  • Understanding of loss prevention techniques
  • A-levels or equivalent (preferred)
  • Retail management certification (preferred)
  • Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required
