Job summary

The Range in Greenock is seeking a Deputy Store Manager (Shop Floor) to support the Store Manager in delivering exceptional customer service, developing colleagues and driving commercial performance on the shop floor.

As part of a busy retail team you will lead by example, coach staff, manage rota planning, monitor KPIs and contribute to stock control while promoting the company values. This role is based at 25, West Shaw Street, Greenock, PA15 1RL.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a retail supervisory or management role.
• Strong leadership and people development skills.
• A passion for delivering excellent customer service.
• Good commercial awareness and understanding of retail KPIs.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A proactive and positive approach to problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example to deliver exceptional customer service and create a positive shopping experience.

• Support the delivery of strong commercial results by driving sales, labour productivity and stock control.
• Help create a high-performing, engaged and customer-focused team culture.
• Ensure the Store is always clean, full, priced and ready to trade.
• Support effective rota planning and daily operational management.
• Conduct regular shop floor walks, identifying opportunities to improve service and sales.
• Support recruitment, training, performance management and succession planning.
• Deputise for the Store Manager when required and lead the Store operation.

The Role
