Job Description

What's the job?

We’re thinking more ambitiously about how our stores can offer our customers even more, so we’ll want you to think ambitiously too – about everything. From how you make things brilliant for customers to how you help everyone in your team to be all they can be. Whether it’s about sales, processes, team performance, or store standards, your big ideas will always be welcome. Working together with your Store Manager, you’ll help create a store that inspires everyone who visits or works there.

What we need:

A retail natural with great people skills and bags of ideas, you’ll feel right at home with us. You’re as enthusiastic about home improvement as we are, and you’ll love sharing this with your customers and colleagues. You know how to get the best out of others and create an environment where people feel valued. You’re flexible and able to cover store opening hours on a rota basis, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.

What's in it for me?

As part of a great team, you’ll be valued for who you are. We’re committed to making B&Q more diverse and representative of the communities we serve, where everyone can feel they belong and have equal opportunities. You will have access to networks that support our colleagues and allies, helping us to embed diversity and inclusion in our business.

We also recognize that wellness means different things to different people, and we want to help colleagues be at their best and feel well by offering a range of benefits. Our benefits include a competitive salary, an award-winning pension scheme, ShareSave options, 6.6 weeks holiday, payroll giving, an Employee Assistance Programme, shopping discounts, colleague wellbeing benefits, and more. We also provide generous breaks to ensure you’re refreshed and able to perform at your best.
