Currently, Bilfinger UK is recruiting a Deputy Site Manager to support NDT operations at Hinkley Point. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of our team on Hinkley Point C, contributing to the UK's nuclear new build sector.

The Deputy Site Manager will support the Site Manager in executing NDT and ANDT services onsite according to customer plans. This is a permanent, onsite position with working hours from Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.

Core Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Assist in ensuring timely, high-quality NDT and ANDT service delivery; deputize for the Site Manager during absences.
• Manage resources effectively.
• Plan, organize, and oversee NDT inspection activities by Project Engineers.
• Control project plans and conduct site audits to maintain high standards of NDT delivery and health & safety.
• Oversee reporting and lifetime quality records management.
• Understand customer needs and support strategies to meet those needs, managing interfaces between Bilfinger, NNB, and contractors.
• Support development and implementation of new technology, techniques, and procedures.
• Identify and resolve blockers to delivery, maximizing site growth opportunities.
• Assist in producing Quality, NDT, and HSE documentation.
• Set targets for direct reports, assess performance, and develop personnel for growth.
• Implement and refine workflows for NDT service execution.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Site/Project Manager.

Qualifications and Competencies:

• ISO 9712 Level 2 qualification or higher; ideally in multiple NDT methods.
• Desirable: IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH certification.
• Experience in delivering NDT methods and applying inspection tools and techniques.
• Knowledge of relevant international standards and legal regulations.
• Minimum of five years management experience in a similar role.
