Theatres are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Senior ODP / Deputy Sister (Band 6) to support the Orthopaedic team within Theatres at Dorset County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust .
The Theatres complex at Dorset County Hospital includes Main Theatres (8 Theatres), Day Surgery Unit (2 Theatres), Weymouth Community Hospital (1 Theatre) as well as the Procedure Room at South Walks House.
We currently have a vacancy for a committed and enthusiastic individual to manage an established team in delivering high quality care that is rapidly adapting to meet the needs of a diverse local population.
Successful applicants should have previous experience in leading Orthopaedicswithin Theatres, good communication skills and enjoy working in a swiftly changing and challenging environment. You will be required to work as part of a motivated team as well as being able to work on own initiative. Main Theatres operates a 24 hour a day, 7 days a week service and staff are expected to work nights and weekends. The applicant will work predominately in Main Theatres but will be expected to work in Day Surgery, Weymouth or South Walks, depending on the needs of the service.
