Responsibilities include:
  1. Providing high-quality, individualised nursing care to patients and their parents/carers as an effective member of the interdisciplinary team.
  2. Developing clinical and managerial skills by taking charge of the ward in the absence of the Ward Manager.
  3. Contributing to the supervision, assessment, and education/development of ward staff and students.
  4. Contributing to the ongoing development of nursing practice through research and audit.
