Are you an experienced Band 5 or Band 6 Nurse looking to develop your career?

We are seeking an experienced Paediatric Nurse to join our Children's Services team at Colchester Hospital, recently approved as a High Dependency Unit Level 2 Unit. Our team provides high-quality, compassionate care in a 20-bed Children's Ward, including 2 HDU Level 1 Beds and 1 Level 2 bed, caring for patients requiring high dependency interventions such as CPAP, BiPAP, and Long Term Ventilation.

Role Responsibilities
  1. Manage and develop the nursing team within the Children’s Ward, providing professional and clinical leadership to ensure high-quality, safe, and cost-effective care for children, families, and staff.
  2. Collaborate with nurses and other MDT members on a one-to-one or group basis to enhance clinical skills and practice across pediatric care areas.
  3. Deputize for the ward/unit manager to ensure appropriate senior cover at all times.
